  • I have offices in CA (Cupertino & Redwood City) and Sarasota, FL. I’m licensed to practice throughout the state of California. I’m also available for online therapy across the states of Florida.

  • There are decades of research and data showing that for many individuals, online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. Online therapy provides added convenience and accessibility, making it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.

Online therapy is conducted through SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform. Clients have access to a secure Client Portal, which allows them to view upcoming appointments, upload documents, complete intake paperwork, download superbills, and communicate with me via secure messages/texts.

  • Yes, I have limited availability for in-person therapy sessions. Please contact me for information about rates and availability.

I’m also available to meet existing clients at their location (e.g., home or workplace) upon request for in-person concierge psychology services (psychotherapy, diagnostic evaluation, assessment, and consultation). Please contact me for additional information.

  • During the consultation call, I invite you to briefly discuss your current concerns and ask questions to help you get a sense of what it would be like to work with me and determine if we’d be a good fit. When appropriate, I’ll provide brief recommendations and provide referrals if another clinician might be a better fit for your needs.

  • The first appointment (“intake visit”) is where I get to know you better and gather information about your history/background (early development, medical conditions, family life, etc.), current concerns, and reason(s) for pursuing therapy at this time.

You are encouraged to ask questions throughout the initial visit (and subsequent visits) as well. At the end of the first visit, I provide recommendations and appropriate referrals. If time permits, we may also discuss treatment planning.

  • Everything discussed during therapy sessions is confidential with the exception of the following: child abuse, dependent adult abuse, elderly abuse, intent to harm oneself, and intent to harm another.

Information can only be shared with third parties (e.g., teachers, outside providers) for care coordination if permission/signed authorization is obtained from an adult client or parent/guardian through a Release of Information (ROI) form.

  • Whether therapy is short-term or long-term depends on how long you’ve had the problem, the nature of your problem and your progress. Individuals seeking brief and solution-focused therapy often reach their goals within 3-5 sessions, with the option to schedule additional follow-up visits as needed.

We will work together to regularly assess your progress. Some clients continue therapy after initial goals are achieved because life presents new stressors or new goals are identified during the therapeutic process.

Throughout our work together, I prioritize open communication and collaboration so you feel informed about the plan and next steps.

  • Online therapy fees:

Psychiatric diagnostic evaluation / Intake session $475

    Therapy session $225-$350*

*Session rate depends on length of session and location.

For in-person sessions and concierge services, please contact me about rates and availability.

I reserve a limited number of discounted fee spots for those with documented financial needs. There may be a waitlist for those spots.

  • Yes, I offer brief 25-30 minute sessions for existing clients when it’s clinically appropriate and based on factors such as client need, progress and availability.

  • I provide individual therapy, family therapy, and parent consultation. These services are provided at the same rate and may be used interchangeably. I work with individuals and families to determine services based on identified goals and needs.

  • Opting for private pay for your sessions offers several benefits:

    1) Immediate Accessibility: Skip the hassle and often lengthy insurance approval procedures. Begin your therapy when you’re ready.

    2) Complete Control in Your Therapy: By choosing private pay, you're not constrained by insurance provider networks or limitations, granting you the flexibility to select the therapist and type of therapy that aligns with your preferences.

    3) Confidentiality and Privacy: Your sessions are kept confidential and private. No information is shared with insurance companies.

  • I only accept Lyra EAP insurance and have limited spots.

If you have a PPO, I am considered an out-of-network provider. Some PPO insurance plans may reimburse you for a percentage of session fees. Please ask your insurance if they cover out-of-network (OON) mental health services. You’ll pay for services upfront and I’ll provide a summary of services (“superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Helpful questions to ask your insurance company about your OON benefits:

    1) How much coverage is available for out-of-network providers? For instance, what percentage of the fee does the insurance company reimburse?

    2) What is the deductible (i.e., the amount you’re required to pay before you’re eligible for reimbursement)?

    3) Does the insurance company set a limit on the number of sessions per year? If yes, what is the total number of sessions per year?

    4) Does the insurance company limit the total amount reimbursed per session? If so, ask how much they reimburse for the following CPT Codes (also known as “procedure codes”):

    • 90791 (Intake or initial evaluation)

    • 90834 (standard 45- to 50-minute session)

    • 90837 (an extended 60-minute session; some companies don’t reimburse this code).

  • When requested, I’ll provide a superbill, which is a monthly summary of services (basically an invoice) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Superbills are generated automatically in the Client Portal at the start of each month. Clients are able to access their superbills through the Client Portal https://anna-hung.clientsecure.me/. If requested, superbills can be emailed to you for your convenience.
